Job summary

HASI is seeking a Director or Senior Director with extensive renewable financing experience to join our Investment Team in Annapolis, MD or New York, NY. You will lead origination, structuring, and execution of sustainability-focused investments in distributed generation, solar, storage, and energy efficiency, acting as a transaction leader within markets or client segments.

The role requires strong commercial judgment, deep technical expertise, and the ability to translate market opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; CFA and/or MBA preferred.
• 12+ years of experience in finance with renewable energy or infrastructure.
• Experience modelling structured debt and equity investments.
• Strong track record leading complex transactions with limited oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead transaction execution and due diligence for investments in distributed generation, solar, storage and energy efficiency investments.
• Develop term sheets and definitive transaction documents, including key economic terms.
• Lead lean deal teams through the full investment process from qualification to closing.
• Present internal investment materials to senior management and investment committees.
• Coordinate with legal, risk, portfolio management, accounting, treasury, and operations.
