Strategy
  1. Drive sustained integration of HEOR from early clinical development through commercialization.
  2. Develop and oversee HO research strategies for compounds in the Lilly portfolio within relevant therapeutic areas.
  3. Serve as a strategic partner on lead/core teams throughout development and/or commercialization phases.
  4. Formulate and drive Patient Focused Outcome, Real World Evidence, and economic value strategies for priority products and geographies.
Study Development and Execution
  1. Develop impactful science across product lifecycle to support evidence needs and improve patient outcomes.
  2. Apply technical expertise (e.g., statistical analysis, economic modeling, clinical trials, observational research, health technology assessments) relevant to the role.
  3. Use disease knowledge and research methods to address HO issues related to registration, pricing, reimbursement, and access.
Organizational Leadership and Influence
  1. Combine technical expertise with business acumen, establishing strategic relationships with internal and external decision-makers.
  2. Lead HO evidence planning and implementation collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  3. Influence key partners and stakeholders to achieve objectives.
Information Dissemination
  1. Communicate HO information effectively to internal partners, scientific community, and customers.
  2. Lead dissemination efforts including abstracts, posters, presentations, and publications.
  3. Plan and align to maximize the impact of HO research outcomes.
Environmental Awareness
  1. Stay informed about disease developments and methodologies in HO.
  2. Anticipate market needs and trends within relevant therapeutic areas and regions.
  3. Monitor and influence environmental factors affecting HO research and application.
Project Management
  1. Ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and scope by coordinating efforts with partners and collaborators.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Doctorate (PhD, MD) in relevant discipline with 5+ years of experience in outcomes strategies/projects using advanced analytics.
  2. 5+ years of hands-on experience with Real World Data, proficient in statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, Python) for large datasets.
Additional Preferences
  • Strong communication skills, ability to translate complex scientific info.
  • Experience influencing and collaborating across teams.
  • Understanding of healthcare systems in US, Europe, or Asia.
  • Technical skills in economic modeling, health technology assessments, epidemiology, etc.
  • Ability to drive research to completion and dissemination.
  • Global thinking with customer focus and solution orientation.

Location: Indianapolis preferred; remote considered. Travel may be required.

Compensation varies based on education, experience, skills, and location. Estimated range: $153,000 - $272,800. Benefits include bonus, 401(k), health coverage, flexible spending, insurance, leave, and well-being programs. Lilly reserves the right to amend these programs.
