Job summary

FTI Consulting is seeking a Senior Director in Real Estate Valuation within the Corporate Finance & Restructuring group in Boston, MA. You will guide data collection, market analyses, and valuation for real estate assets across disputes, acquisitions, portfolios and financing, while mentoring junior staff.

You will oversee cash flow modeling, use Argus and Excel for analyses, and prepare USPAP-compliant appraisal and expert reports for clients and stakeholders. Travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting and/or Economics
• State Certified General Real Estate Appraisal license
• MAI designation or desire to pursue this designation
• Experience in Argus Enterprise and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to travel to clients and to FTI offices as needed
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas

Responsibilities

• Assist in data collection and analysis to form opinions on market value of real estate assets
• Perform research and analyses related to operating performance, market analysis and valuation of real estate properties
• Utilize company research services including CoStar and CompStak
• Review source documents to develop cash flow assumptions and projections
• Apply finance and accounting skills to real estate valuation and related tasks
• Synthesize large data sets for complex properties/portfolios
• Prepare cash flow projections using MS Excel and Argus
• Prepare expert/ USPAP-compliant appraisal reports and related documentation
