Job summary

Ursa Major is seeking a Senior Director of Quality to lead the quality strategy, ensure compliance, and drive the quality culture across all sites and product lines, including solid rocket motors and propulsion systems. The role partners with DCMA and prime contractors, owning the AS9100 QMS and program quality through development to production ramp.

The candidate will roll up sleeves, lead from the front, and build a scalable quality organization as the company grows into a public entity,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of progressive quality experience in aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated manufacturing, including 5+ years in senior quality leadership.
• Direct experience working with DCMA, including quality surveillance, government source inspection, and corrective action requests.
• Demonstrated experience leading an AS9100‑certified Quality Management System.

Responsibilities

• Own Ursa Major’s quality strategy, objectives, budget, and organization across sites.
• Serve as Ursa Major’s senior quality representative to DCMA, government customers, and primes.
• Own AS9100 quality management system and supplier quality.
• Lead quality through development into rate production and ramp.
• Oversee corrective actions, nonconformances, and audits.
