Job summary

Solta Medical, a division of Bausch Health, seeks a Senior Director to establish global project management practices across R&D in Bothell, WA. You will work with executive leadership to keep programs on track, resourced, and budgeted, while guiding a portfolio of initiatives.

You will lead a team of project managers, drive portfolio prioritization, and collaborate with GSM and Finance to align initiatives with business strategy and financial goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Science, Engineering, or Business Administration preferred; Master’s Degree preferred
• Minimum 12 years of experience in program management, preferably in medical device / life sciences
• Proven track record of leading successful projects and strong leadership
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for complex concepts
• PMP certification or equivalent is advantageous

Senior Director, Program Management

Overview:

Solta Medical, a division of Bausch Health, is a global leader in energy-based aesthetic technologies, providing innovative solutions that support physicians and patients worldwide.

The Senior Director, Program Management will be responsible for establishing and maintaining global project management practices across the R&D organization. This role will work closely with executive leadership to ensure projects are on track/resourced/and budgeted for and identify potential roadblocks early on the process and put solutions in place when needed.

Job Duties:

• Develop and implement the overall strategy for portfolio management, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and goals. Understand the broader business strategy to ensure that project initiatives contribute to these objectives while fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
• Drive and oversee the portfolio prioritization, decision making process, refining scoring logic and evaluation criteria as needed and leading the annual portfolio prioritization review
• Establish and maintain a centralized database for tracking project status, milestones, and key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring projects are on track
• Collaborate with relevant functions (e.g., GSM, Finance) to ensure activities are grounded in business strategy, and key financial metrics
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and communication to ensure alignment and integration
• Organize and plan governance meetings for the Development Review and Portfolio review committees
• Support strategic workforce planning to optimize diverse skillsets and individual development
• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of project managers

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required. Science, Engineering, Business Administration discipline preferred; Master’s Degree preferred
• Minimum 12 years of experience in program management, preferably within the medical device / life sciences industry
• Proven track record of leading successful projects, demonstrating strong leadership and influencing skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines
• Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent is advantageous

The range of starting base pay for this role is 235,000-323,000. Actual starting pay will be based on a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, qualifications, education and location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for participation in either (i) our annual bonus program or (ii) a sales incentive plan.
