Senior Director, Product Management – Product Platform

Inglewood, California, United States

Summary

As a Senior Director of Product Management, you will be the driving force behind the development and optimization of our subscription-based fan facing experience NFL+. You will lead a talented team of product managers responsible for executing the product and experience vision across Web, Mobile, Tablet, Connected Devices and Smart TVs. This role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and leverage your deep understanding of media, subscription-based products to deliver exceptional user experiences both in and out of season. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing strong product management teams, a collaborative approach to working with design and engineering, and a strong background in media subscription services.

Responsibilities

  • Define Product Strategy: Develop and execute the product strategy for our fan facing experiences, focusing on delivering compelling sports content and building awareness for our premium assets and subscription business.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineering, design, content, marketing, direct-to-consumer, ad sales, legal and business development teams to define the long-term strategy and tactics.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats in the media subscription landscape.
  • User-Centric Approach: Champion a user-centric approach to product development, incorporating user feedback, usability testing, and data analysis.
  • Performance Measurement: Define key performance metrics and utilize data-driven insights to measure the success of our Platform products and subscription business.
  • Team Leadership: Guide a talented team of product managers, developing, directing, coaching, mentoring, and aligning team members with the organization’s mission and values.
  • Domain Skills: A deep understanding of agile software development practices and audience acquisition tactics in support of marketing and subscription businesses.

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience in product management, focusing on media distribution and subscription services.
  • Deep understanding of sports media and subscription content consumption habits.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive product decisions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Extensive experience working in an agile development environment.
  • Comfortable working in a matrixed product development organization.

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week.

Salary / Pay Range

$200,000 - $240,000 USD

At the NFL, in-person work at our offices is a top priority because it allows us to collaborate more effectively. This role requires onsite presence at an NFL office location.
