Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Senior Director to lead the site's process-facing engineering functions, including process engineering, automation, and maintenance, to enable startup and long-term manufacturing goals. The role provides both administrative and technical leadership for engineering operations as part of the Site Lead Team, shaping strategic direction and building capability across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 10+ years in leadership roles in pharma.
• Experience in API manufacturing and Process Safety Management.
• Strong knowledge of cGMPs applied to manufacturing.
• Ability to lead projects from initiation to completion with timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Lead process engineering, automation, and maintenance to support startup and manufacturing goals.
• Define priorities and roadmap for engineering functions.
• Ensure safety, quality, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with Site Lead Team on organizational development.
• Oversee equipment qualification, startup input, and design input.
• Maintain compliance with environmental, safety, and quality standards.
• Develop leaders and governance for site operations.
