Job summary

Coupang is seeking a senior communications leader to shape and communicate the company’s perspective on complex public policy, regulatory, and geopolitical issues. You will partner with executives to develop narratives, op-eds, policy messaging, and congressional engagement materials that support Coupang's objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 15+ years of experience in speechwriting, policy communications, or related fields.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills across formats and audiences.
• Experience developing communications for senior executives or policymakers.
• Deep understanding of public policy and legislative processes.

Responsibilities

• Create and evolve compelling narratives on Coupang's policy positions.
• Develop op-eds, speeches, talking points, and briefing materials.
• Serve as a senior member of Global Public Affairs and shape external voice.
• Understand Washington policy landscape and identify communication opportunities.
• Advise executives on messaging and stakeholder engagement.
• Translate complex policy issues into clear communications for diverse audiences.
• Collaborate with Public Policy, Legal, Corporate Communications and business leaders.
• Conduct research on policy issues affecting Coupang and stakeholders.
• Support media engagements and policy events.
• Ensure consistency across corporate and policy communications.
