Job summary

The role requires extensive collaboration with hospital leadership and medical staff, ensuring QA programs, regulatory adherence, and staff competence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy degree or higher.
• Currently licensed to practice pharmacy in Texas.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values to staff and stakeholders.
• Directs and monitors activities of the pharmacy department to ensure optimal pharmaceutical services.
• Develops and maintains policies that ensure safe, efficient, and compliant medication use.
• Supervises pharmacy personnel including recruitment, promotion, and discipline.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and accreditation standards.
• Maintains drug storage, inventory, and procurement specifications.
• Prepares staffing plans and monitors workload statistics to optimize operations.
• Provides education and coaching to staff and fosters professional development.
