Job summary

Genentech is seeking a senior supply chain leader to manage the Local Site Supply Chain function, overseeing production planning, materials planning, scheduling, and inventory management in a GMP environment. The role ensures ERP master data integrity, drives continuous improvement, and leads a team toward efficient, compliant operations.

The position leverages LEAN principles, requires extensive pharmaceutical industry experience, and involves onsite work with minimal travel.

Qualifications

BS degree in life-sciences, business logistics, or supply chain management, or related field is required.
A minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry is required.
A minimum of ten (10) years supply chain, logistics and/or operations knowledge, with a minimum of five (5) years in a leadership position with direct reports is required.
Experience working in a GMP environment is required.
Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) modules including familiarity with SAP Warehouse Management System (WMS) is required.
Demonstrated experience utilizing LEAN manufacturing or LEAN warehousing principles is preferred.

Responsibilities

Leads and manages a Local Site Supply Chain function and team, covering production scheduling, materials planning, and inventory management.
Maintains ERP Master Data integrity to ensure accurate planning and reporting; drives continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Directs and develops the functional team to ensure efficient operations and a talent pipeline.
