Job summary

Evernorth Health Services, a division of The Cigna Group, seeks a Sr. Director Negotiator to lead pharma strategy and contracting for managed markets and PBM. You will oversee a team handling manufacturer relationships, rebate structures, and product pipelines, driving strategic initiatives for health plan clients.

You will collaborate across clinical, financial, and operations teams, manage downstream client relationships, and help shape formulary strategies and invoicing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Registered Pharmacist (RPh or PharmD) and/or MBA preferred.
• Strong financial acumen with an understanding of supply chain dynamics.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.
• Solid negotiation skills with the ability to influence and persuade while balancing the needs of the organization and external partners.
• Adaptable with the ability to navigate complex dynamics and ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Assist the VP of Pharma Strategy and Contracting in determining manufacturer, product class, and drug tactics and executing on these tactics.
• Manage Pharma relationships and develop strategic partnerships with targeted Pharma companies across multiple internal departments
• Interact with the Value Assessment Committee to develop product category strategies and vendor rebate requests to maximize value.
• Consult and provide insight with Cigna Health Plan and manage relations with the downstream clients.
• Assist the Account Director and Pharma Director in finalizing all manufacturer rebate agreements and matrices for invoicing.
• Support Sales and Account Management on RFPs and/or presentations or discussions with clients.
• Represent the department and provide guidance and formulary strategies for Custom Clients and assist Formulary Consultants on rebate requests.
• Interact with cross-functional management teams including clinical, account management, operations, finance, and specialty business development.
• Work with Finance team on financial and budget projections.
