Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Lead Director of Product Innovation to own the full innovation lifecycle for payor-focused product concepts, from ideation through launch. You will identify unmet market needs, shape concepts, and partner with Enterprise and Aetna strategy teams to translate ideas into launch-ready solutions.

This individual contributor role may be remote or hybrid anywhere in the US depending on candidate location and commute to a hub location.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in product strategy, product innovation, or related leadership roles.
• Strong experience in payor-focused products and healthcare solutions.
• Proven ability to lead concepts from ideation through launch.
• Experience working across strategy, product development, partnerships, data/tech in a matrixed environment.
• Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to influence without direct ownership.
• Cross-functional leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of new product concepts from ideation through launch for payor-focused solutions.
• Identify unmet needs, strategic opportunities, and concept areas aligned to enterprise priorities.
• Shape, pressure-test, and refine product concepts into well-defined opportunities with launch pathways.
• Partner with Enterprise and strategy teams to align innovation priorities with market opportunities.
• Support concept evaluation, development planning, and launch readiness with product teams.
• Collaborate with partnerships, DDAT, and shared service partners based on concept type.
• Drive cross-functional coordination to move concepts from exploration to launch-ready solutions.
• Define requirements, priorities, dependencies, and decision points for advancing innovation.
• Support creation of business cases, concept materials, and launch recommendations.
• Ensure smooth handoff of launched innovations to long-term owners after market introduction.
