Vertex Pharmaceuticals in Boston is seeking a Senior Director, US Patient Support Programs (PSP) Af for affordability leadership. You will shape strategy, operating models, and roadmaps for copay, PAP, free-drug, and bridge programs, driving patient access and program performance.

You will build and lead a high-performing team, partner with stakeholders across functions, and manage external vendors to ensure compliant, patient-centered delivery at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration, finance, life sciences, public health, or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive experience in patient support, affordability programming, healthcare operations, market access, or related environment.
• 7+ years of leadership experience with cross-functional and external vendor coordination.
• Experience leading affordability programs (copay, patient assistance, free-drug, bridge, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the US PSP affordability strategy, including objectives, operating model, metrics, and roadmap.
• Design, implement, and optimize copay, patient assistance, free-drug, bridge, and other programs.
• Establish governance, policies, procedures, and escalation for consistent program execution.
• Build, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing affordability team.
• Partner with Patient Support, Market Access, Commercial Analytics, Finance, Legal, OBIE, and others to align programs with objectives.
• Oversee external vendors with governance, performance, and compliance oversight.
• Define and monitor vendor SLAs, KPIs, and improvement plans with PSP Insights & Analytics.
• Ensure training on requirements, patient experience expectations, and compliance standards.
• Lead analytics and reporting to identify trends, barriers, opportunities, and risks.
• Drive executive-ready reporting on program performance, finances, and patient outcomes.
