Job summary

Abercrombie & Fitch Co. seeks a Director of Outbound Transportation to shape the strategy for eCommerce, Retail, Wholesale, Franchise and other channels. You will lead network design, carrier management, and technology-driven improvements to balance cost, speed and experience.

You will partner with Store Ops, Customer Care, Finance and Brand leaders, oversee budgets, and build a scalable, resilient transportation network aligned with growth and new fulfillment models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in supply chain, logistics, business or engineering.
• 10+ years of progressive transportation, logistics, or supply chain experience.
• 5+ years leading transportation teams and service providers.
• Deep expertise in parcel transportation, fulfillment operations, carrier management, and network optimization.
• Proven ability to develop strategies that improve customer experience and scalability.
• Strong understanding of transportation economics, markets, and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute transportation strategies balancing experience, service, speed, cost, capacity and resiliency.
• Lead network optimization initiatives, carrier diversification, routing, and future-state design.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to align performance with customer and store expectations.
• Establish contingency and resiliency plans to protect commitments during disruptions.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, and performance metrics for outbound transportation.
• Lead carrier negotiations and manage enterprise relationships with parcel, pool, LTL, and truckload providers.
• Drive technology strategy with analytics, AI and reporting to improve decisions.
