Job description

Position Summary

The Sr. Director of Driver Capabilities and Automation/AI for Last Mile Delivery will lead the development and implementation of advanced automated systems to transform our delivery processes. This role is key in driving AI transformation and ensuring our platforms are scalable and future-proof.

What you'll do
  1. Lead AI Transformation: Develop and implement cutting-edge AI, Agentic AI, and LLM technologies to improve driver capabilities and last-mile delivery efficiency. Manage innovative AI projects that significantly impact delivery operations.
  2. Build Scalable Platforms: Design scalable platforms supporting long-term automation goals, including pricing, search, and offers for the driver platform. Apply the latest AI advancements to practical challenges.
  3. Data-Driven Decision Making: Use data analytics to inform strategies, optimize processes, and enhance performance. Clearly communicate plans and roadmaps to leadership and stakeholders.
  4. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across departments to gather requirements and ensure successful AI and automation implementation. Foster a culture of innovation and technological adoption.
  5. Inspire and Propel Change: Encourage a culture of innovation, inspiring teams to adopt new technologies and methodologies to advance the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Deep understanding of AI, Agentic AI, and LLM technologies.
  • Experience in building scalable platforms and systems.
  • Strong focus on technology and product development.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to leverage data effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for articulating complex strategies to leadership and stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations, or a related field, plus 6 years’ experience in operations, project management, or related areas, or 8 years’ experience in similar roles. Additionally, 4 years’ supervisory experience are required.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters in Business Administration, Computer Engineering, or Operations Management, with project management certification (PMP). Leadership experience managing cross-functional teams is preferred.
