Job summary

Moderna is seeking a senior Clinical Development professional to support oncology programs, working with the Clinical Development Lead to direct phase 1–3 trials and ensure data integrity for governance and regulatory submissions.

Responsibilities include trial design, document authoring, data review and site management, with travel up to 15%. The role is based in Cambridge, MA or Princeton, NJ, with a 70/30 in-office model and strong emphasis on mentorship and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Outstanding scientific and clinical oncology knowledge.
• Experience operating in a matrix organization and strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to contribute to both early and late-stage clinical development programs.
• Travel up to 15% to work with study sites and conferences.

Responsibilities

• Support regulatory and clinical program strategy and trial design.
• Author and review clinical study documents per regulatory standards (protocols, DSURs, Investigator Brochures, INDs).
• Potentially lead a clinical study with oversight from the Clinical Development Lead and collaborators.
• Perform and coordinate clinical data review and analysis, including CRFs, data listings, coding, and patient profiles.
• Support study site management with safety decisions aligned to the protocol.
• Collaborate with Clinical Operations on global start-up and site activation to ensure enrollment.
• Design clinical study parameters to minimize risk and improve site performance.
• Contribute to inspection readiness activities for audits and inspections.
• Develop content for Investigator Meetings and engage investigators.
• Educate and train junior Clinical Science personnel.
• Support evolution of the clinical science role and participate in workstreams.
