KPM Franklin seeks a Florida-licensed Director of Surveying to lead our established Survey Department in Kissimmee. You will oversee operations, QA/QC, and growth, ensuring compliance with Standards of Practice and client requirements.

The role requires a FL PSM license (or endorsement), 10+ years of surveying experience, and 5+ years in leadership. You will guide teams across office and field, manage budgets, and drive business development with advanced surveying technologies.

Qualifikationen

• Florida Professional Surveyor & Mapper license required, or ability to obtain immediately through endorsement
• 10+ years of professional surveying experience
• 5+ years of project, team, or departmental leadership experience
• Strong technical experience in boundary, topographic, platting, construction surveying, and professional survey review
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and modern field-to-finish survey workflows
• Strong financial and business acumen, including project budgeting, pricing, utilization, and profitability
• Strong client relationship and communication skills

Aufgaben

• Lead the Survey Department and oversee day-to-day operations, staffing, workload, schedules, resources, and long-term goals
• Serve as senior technical authority for professional surveying matters, including review and signing and sealing deliverables
• Oversee boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, subdivision plat, construction, as-built, and other professional surveying services
• Establish and maintain QA/QC standards and ensure deliverables meet Florida law and Standards of Practice
• Lead and develop the survey team across professional, technical, office, and field staff
• Own the department’s financial performance including revenue, profitability, utilization, and budgets
• Oversee surveying projects from proposal through completion and act as senior client contact
• Support business development and growth through client relationships, scopes, and proposals
• Champion modern surveying technology and workflows (Civil 3D, GNSS, UAV, LiDAR, GIS)
