Job summary

Confidential Employer seeks a Director of Surveying in Kissimmee, FL to lead our established Survey Department. This on-site leadership role involves guiding a skilled team across boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction, and subdivision surveys, while ensuring quality and client satisfaction.

You will oversee project delivery, budgets, and relationships, leveraging AutoCAD Civil 3D, GNSS/GPS, UAV surveying, LiDAR, and GIS to drive excellence and growth in our surveying services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
• 5+ years of professional surveying experience; 10+ years preferred.
• Experience leading surveying projects, teams, or departmental operations.
• Strong technical knowledge of boundary, topographic, construction surveying and subdivision platting.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily Survey Department operations, including staffing, scheduling, resource allocation, and project delivery.
• Mentor professional surveyors, technical staff, and field crews.
• Oversee boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, construction, subdivision platting, and as-built surveys.
• Serve as the department's senior technical authority, reviewing and sealing deliverables.
• Establish and maintain quality control standards for accuracy and client satisfaction.
• Manage departmental budgets, revenue, profitability, utilization, and performance.
• Oversee surveying projects from proposals to completion.
• Build client relationships, develop proposals, identify growth opportunities.
• Champion modern surveying technologies including AutoCAD Civil 3D, GNSS/GPS, UAV/drone surveying, LiDAR, GIS.
