Job summary

Friendly Senior Living in New York seeks a seasoned leader to manage the Social Work Department, overseeing admissions, care planning, and regulatory compliance. This role reports to senior leadership and guides a culture of person-directed care and continuous improvement.

As part of the leadership team, you will supervise Social Workers and Admissions staff, collaborate with Marketing and Life Enrichment, and drive strategies to maximize member outcomes and bed utilization.

Qualifications

• Must be able to meet the public and develop and deliver effective presentations to individuals and groups.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Admissions Coordinator in working with other clinical staff to determine level of care and appropriateness of admission.
• Maintains all required regulatory documentation.
• Assures that admission notes and psychosocial history are developed and recorded within appropriate time frames.
• Oversees Social Workers in serving as facility Discharge Coordinator and coordinates discharge plans.
• Develops and submits an annual operating budget for the Social Work Department.
