Job summary

The Orchards at Samaritan is seeking a Director of Social Services to lead social services programming for adult and geriatric residents. This role requires coordinating services across therapeutic, dementia care, dialysis, IV therapy, and infectious disease needs, with emphasis on admission inquiries and placement decisions.

Ideal candidates will have prior director-level social work experience in a large long-term care setting and hold a BSW/MSW or related bachelor's degree, with at least one

• Experience as a Director of Social Work in a large LTC setting preferred.
• BSW or MSW preferred, or Bachelor's degree in related field.
• At least one year experience in Social Work field required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of age specific developmental factors in planning social services programs.
• Plans social services programs for residents with therapeutic, neurological and dementia, dialysis, IV therapy, and infectious diseases if applicable.
• Follows-up on admission inquiries and assesses needs for facility placement.
