Job summary

Principal Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced pharmacy leader to provide strategic operational leadership across system-wide services. This Senior Director role oversees operations across acute, ambulatory, infusion, retail, specialty, and long-term care settings within a regional health system.

The role partners with clinical and operational leaders to standardize practices, align priorities, and support growth of pharmacy services, including technology, 340B, and continuity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy is required.
• 5+ years of pharmacy experience within a health system or similar setting.
• 5+ years of progressive pharmacy leadership experience within a health system.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced pharmacy leader to provide strategic operational leadership across pharmacy services for a regional health system.

This is a system-level leadership opportunity overseeing pharmacy operations across multiple settings, including acute care, ambulatory, infusion, retail, specialty, and long-term care.

The Senior Director will partner with leaders across the organization to align priorities, strengthen operational integration, standardize practices, and support continued growth of pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Pharmacy


• 5+ years of pharmacy experience within a health system or similar setting


• 5+ years of progressive pharmacy leadership experience within a health system

Alternative Leadership Path

• ASHP Health-System Pharmacy Administration & Leadership (HSPAL) residency experience plus 4 years of leadership experience

Licensure & Certifications

• Virginia pharmacist license required within 60 days of hire


• 340B University OnDemand certification through Apexus required within 180 days


• Advanced 340B Operations Certificate preferred

Preferred

• Master’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or Public Health


• Experience leading pharmacy services across multiple locations or care settings


• Experience with pharmacy automation, technology modernization, and emerging AI solutions
