Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related science accepted by TX PELS.
• 7 years of transportation engineering experience; 3 years supervisory/managerial experience.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive a state vehicle; PE license required in Texas or must obtain within 6 months if licensed elsewhere.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with local, city, state and federal agencies on district maintenance matters.
• Develop and monitor maintenance budget.
• Oversee district maintenance operations and coordinate with Area Engineers.
• Prioritize the work of special maintenance crews.
• Represent district at meetings.
• Oversee buildings, grounds, vegetation management and emergency operations.
• Lead development and oversight of maintenance contracts and agreements.
• Manage overweight/oversize permits.
