Job description

We're partnering with a rapidly scaling consumer brand to find a Senior Director of Growth who will lead the next phase of expansion from approximately $50M to $200M+ in revenue. This leader will own the full growth engine across paid acquisition, retention and subscription, marketplace and omnichannel expansion, analytics, AI, and operating efficiency while scaling an already successful playbook without proportionally increasing headcount or costs.

Responsibilities
Paid Acquisition & Media
  • Own and scale a $25M+ annual paid media budget, representing approximately 43% of net revenue, across Meta, TikTok, and emerging acquisition channels.
  • Maintain accountability for CAC, payback periods, channel efficiency, and overall performance.
  • Continue diversifying the acquisition mix by identifying and scaling the next 2-3 meaningful growth channels.
  • Build on the company’s success scaling newer channels, including platforms that have grown from minimal contribution to representing 20%+ of net revenue.
  • Establish the testing cadence and creative analytics infrastructure required to maintain efficient acquisition as the business grows.
  • Oversee a high-volume creative testing environment currently producing approximately 300-400 ads per week.
Lifecycle, Retention & Subscription
  • Lead the subscription, lifecycle, and CRM strategy end-to-end across platforms including Klaviyo and Recharge.
  • Continue optimizing a first-order subscription program that has grown from approximately 11% to 70%+.
  • Develop and improve win-back, save, loyalty, and retention initiatives designed to minimize churn as the subscriber base expands.
  • Partner with Brand and Product on pricing, bundles, program structure, and other retention initiatives that support both customer lifetime value and margin.
  • Own Amazon, retail, and future distribution channels as individual P&Ls with clear performance and profitability goals.
  • Lead growth, media, and launch strategies supporting new retail doors and national account expansion.
  • Develop an omnichannel growth strategy that allows the business to add new revenue streams while protecting performance across existing channels.
  • Evaluate channel opportunities based on incremental revenue, profitability, customer acquisition, and potential cannibalization.
  • Own the growth analytics infrastructure, measurement strategy, and reporting cadence, including quarterly reporting presented to the Board.
  • Use CAC, LTV, payback, contribution margin, and other performance metrics to guide budget allocation and investment decisions.
  • Expand the company’s existing use of AI and automation across areas including creative analytics, GEO/AI visibility, and customer experience.
  • Identify opportunities to automate workflows and improve operating leverage so revenue can scale faster than headcount and expenses.
  • Provide data-backed recommendations on when and why investment should shift between channels.
  • Lead and develop a 20+ person growth organization spanning paid media, lifecycle/CRM, social, affiliates, and analytics.
  • Build the team, processes, and systems required to support the company’s next stage of growth.
  • Partner closely with senior leaders across Brand, Product, and Finance on planning, cash flow, unit economics, and company-wide growth priorities.
  • Maintain the ability to work directly within advertising platforms, lifecycle flows, and analytics when needed while operating primarily as a strategic leader.
  • Report directly to the President.
Qualifications
  • Experience owning a significant growth or performance marketing budget, ideally $20M+ annually, within a scaled DTC, consumer, or CPG business.
  • Demonstrated experience scaling a growth organization through a period of rapid, capital-efficient expansion.
  • Deep understanding of CAC, LTV, payback periods, contribution margin, creative performance, and channel economics.
  • Experience building or significantly scaling subscription, lifecycle, CRM, or retention programs in addition to customer acquisition.
  • Strong track record of diversifying acquisition beyond established paid channels and successfully developing emerging channels.

  • Ability to own a growth P&L and communicate performance, investment decisions, and financial outcomes to executive leadership and Board-level stakeholders.
  • Background operating at the Senior Manager through Senior Director level with readiness to take end-to-end ownership of a large-scale growth function.
  • Hands-on operating mentality with the ability to move between executive-level strategy and detailed execution when necessary.
Nice to Have
  • Experience helping scale a consumer business through a significant revenue inflection point, such as approximately $50M to $200M.
  • Direct involvement in national retail or mass-market launches.
  • A history of earning increased scope or promotions within an organization based on measurable business performance.
