Job summary

Janicki Industries seeks a Sr. Director of Enterprise Systems to lead the transformation of our core business and engineering systems. You will own ERP/SAP landscapes, PLM, and related applications while partnering with IT and operations to enable manufacturing excellence.

The role demands deep ERP implementation experience, strong PLM fluency, and proven change-management leadership in aerospace/manufacturing settings. This on-site position offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Own strategy, roadmap, and governance for enterprise systems (SAP S/4HANA, PLM).
  • Lead SAP S/4HANA implementation scope, timeline, budget, and cutover risk.
  • Direct BIS and Engineering Systems teams to a unified enterprise systems roadmap.
  • Establish data governance for master data, BOM structures, and change records.
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance and Quality to support product lifecycle.
  • Drive adoption and change management across the business; train and communicate with directors and end users.
  • Manage vendor relationships; ensure accountability for scope and architecture.
  • Develop and manage the enterprise systems budget; oversee licensing & ongoing improvements.
  • Build and mentor a team capable of sustaining enterprise systems beyond go-live.

We are looking for an Sr. Director of Enterprise Systems to join our growing team.

This position is located on-site in Hamilton, Washington State.

Department Summary:

The Sr. Director of Enterprise Systems leads this transformation and, on an ongoing basis, owns the enterprise systems that connect our business and engineering operations in support of aerospace manufacturing. This role hasenterprisewideaccountability for our core business systems (ERP/SAPS/4HANA, master data, and business intelligence, delivered through the Business Information Systems team) and our engineering systems (PLM and engineering software, delivered through the Engineering Systems team); both teams, and their current Directors, report to this role. The ideal candidate combines deep enterprise systems (ERP/SAP) implementation experience with genuine fluency in PLM and engineering dataincluding BOM structures, change management, and the handoff between engineering and manufacturing executionplus a track record of leading organizational change through large, cross-functional technology programs.

  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and ongoing governance for Janicki's enterprise systems landscape, including SAP S/4HANA, PLM, and adjacent engineering and business applications.
  • Lead the current SAP S/4HANA implementation through completion, including scope, timeline, budget, and cutover risk, in partnership with the implementation partner/SI and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide direct leadership to the Business Information Systems (BIS) team and the Engineering Systems team, including their current Directors, aligning both groups around shared priorities and a single enterprise systems roadmap.
  • Establish and maintain data, process, and change governance across ERP and PLM, including clear ownership and decision rights for master data, BOM structures (E-BOM to M-BOM), and cross-functional change records.
  • Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Finance, and Quality leadership to ensure enterprise systems support the full product lifecycle from design through shop floor execution.
  • Drive adoption and organizational change management across the business, including stakeholder alignment, training, and communication to directors, managers, and end users.
  • Manage relationships with SAP, PLM, and other software vendors and implementation partners, ensuring delivery accountability without ceding scope or architectural decisions.
  • Develop and manage the enterprise systems budget, including implementation costs, licensing, and ongoing support and improvement investment.
  • Build and mentor a team capable of sustaining and continuously improving enterprise systems well beyond initial go-live.
  • Report progress, risks, and key decisions to executive leadership and serve as the primary escalation point for enterprise systems issues.
  • Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines
  • Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance. This is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience leading enterprise systems, IT, or business systems functions, including at least one full-lifecycle ERP implementation (SAP strongly preferred) as a scope/delivery owner, not solely a participant.
  • Demonstrated experience with PLM systems and the engineering-to-manufacturing data thread, including BOM management, engineering change processes, and configuration/serialization concepts.
  • Proven track record leading organizational change management across cross-functional teams with competing priorities (engineering, planning, manufacturing, finance).
  • Experience managing SAP implementation partners/SI and software vendors, including holding them accountable to scope and timeline.
  • Prior experience managing managers or directors, with the ability to lead through existing team leadership rather than only individual contributors.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or another regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with SAP PEO (Production Engineering and Operations) or equivalent M-BOM/E-BOM conversion tools.
  • Experience establishing data, process, or systems governance frameworks in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced degree (MBA or related) a plus, but not required.
  • Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language
  • Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3)
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program

Detailed Wage Information:

Salary range for this role is between$190,000 - $240,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off shifts. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities
