MKS Instruments, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director of Engineering for the Flow BU to lead and grow mechanical and electronics engineering teams.

You will drive product development strategies, collaborate across functions, and align with customers to advance next‑generation gas delivery and flow control technologies. Reporting to the Flow BU General Manager, you will build and mentor teams, manage budgets, and shape the technical roadmap to meet market needs in semiconductor, industrial

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering or related field.
• 15+ years of cross-functional management experience in a product development environment.
• Familiarity with Engineering management, project management, product development processes, problem-solving methodologies, and DFMEA.
• Knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and change management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience mentoring engineering managers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily workflow and management of the engineering development team, including budgeting.
• Establish policies, standards, and security measures for engineering activities.
• Direct engineering management from product definition through release/production.
• Ensure projects are resourced and completed on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with Product Marketing, Operations, Quality, Sales, and Service as products move to production.
• Develop and execute a technology/R&D roadmap aligned with customer roadmaps/vision.
