Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill is seeking a Senior Director of Development to lead our fundraising team and drive a comprehensive funding strategy. The successful candidate will manage grants, government contracts, and foundation giving, while building strong relationships with program, finance, and operations leaders.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in nonprofit development, grant lifecycle expertise, and proven leadership to guide a high-performing team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in nonprofit management, public administration, business, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of nonprofit development, grant writing/management, or related fundraising roles.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive development strategy encompassing grants, government contracts, foundation giving, and other revenue streams.
Identify and track grant funding, government contracts, and foundation opportunities with a prioritized pipeline.
Lead and develop a team of development staff, setting goals and coordinating performance.
Collaborate with finance to budget development activities and align grant budgets with organizational planning.
Oversee compliance and reporting for awarded grants and contracts; ensure deliverables and timelines meet funder expectations.
