Job summary

The Redford Center is seeking an experienced Director of Development to lead fundraising strategy, grow resources, and deepen donor relationships. You’ll manage a development team, build meaningful relationships with donors and funders, and work closely with the Executive Director, Board, and program and communications teams to turn our innovative mission into philanthropic support.

This is both a strategic leadership and hands-on role that requires energy and big-picture thinking.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive fundraising and development experience.
• Experience leading a development team and managing an operating budget of at least $3m.
• Proven ability to cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors and funders.
• Experience partnering with Board members to advance fundraising goals.
• Strong knowledge of CRM systems, prospect pipelines, revenue forecasting, reporting, and data-informed decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive annual fundraising plan with revenue goals.
• Lead long-term fundraising strategy across gifts, grants, and partnerships.
• Oversee prospect development strategy and donor education with leadership collaboration.
• Supervise and develop the Individual Giving Manager, Institutional Giving Manager, and a senior assistant.
• Align fundraising priorities with organizational strategy and collaborate across departments.
• Manage a portfolio of top donors and major gift prospects, cultivating and soliciting gifts.
• Oversee major fundraising campaigns, donor communications, and donor events.
• Oversee department operations, including CRM, budgeting, and reporting.
