14 Technology Holdings is seeking a Data Engineering Lead to shape and guide a high-performing data team in building scalable data pipelines and warehousing solutions. You will partner with the Director of Data to translate strategy into engineering execution and maintain standards across the platform.

Remote-friendly within the United States, the role balances 50% management with hands-on delivery, and requires 8+ years in data engineering with 3+ in leadership, plus strong SQL/Python and cloud

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or related field
• 3+ years in a leadership/management role
• Deep expertise in data pipeline design, ETL, warehousing, and integration
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python; familiarity with R is a plus
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data warehouses (Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake)
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to translate technical decisions for stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Partner with Director of Data to translate strategy into engineering execution
• Lead and align high-performing data engineering team with best practices
• Define and execute the data engineering roadmap
• Balance management with hands-on coding (roughly 50/50)
• Maintain data architecture standards for pipelines and systems
• Design data models and schemas for platform integration
• Architect and build large-scale data systems and migrations
• Design, implement, and manage ETL pipelines and data warehousing
• Collaborate with DevOps to deploy data prototypes and R&D
• Monitor and optimize long-running queries and pipelines
• Recruit, hire, mentor, and evaluate data engineers
• Foster an inclusive environment for growth and skill development
• Evaluate technologies to scale data engineering capability
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to meet business needs
• Ensure data privacy, security, and compliance
