The Senior Director of Nursing (Regional Perinatal Center, IP Services and Nursing Administration or Emergency Department, Critical Care Services and Throughput) is responsible for overall strategic planning, communication, organizing, and implementing nursing operations and goals in alignment with the Medical Center's mission, vision, and strategic plan. The position oversees all activities regarding the development and implementation of standards of care, professional development, and quality/performance improvement for the delivery of nursing care. It involves analyzing and controlling divisional financial performance, directing and ensuring the quality of all services and activities supporting patient care, and collaborating with physician teams across multiple subspecialties. The role supervises directors and managers across various units and departments, ensuring supervision across all shifts, and coordinates support services impacting care delivery. This role is also responsible for the operations of the shared governance structure in the nursing division, with authority over clinical, financial, and patient experience performance.
