  • A bachelor's degree is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Five or more years’ experience managing a team is required.
  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally 30 – 40% of the time.
  • Demonstrates ability to grow a business or ministry and build credibility with pastors.

Ministry Function:

The Senior Director – Network Relations supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by leading and developing a team responsible for building and stewarding relationships with pastors and churches. This role drives the acquisition and growth of church partnerships that generate financial resources, expand awareness, mobilize advocacy and volunteerism, and strengthen program collaboration. The position also represents Convoy of Hope at churches and conferences as a credentialed minister, administering sacraments and leading religious worship services.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Donor EngagementLeads by example in actively engaging and managing a portfolio of church partnerships through personal cultivation, solicitation, closing of gifts, and stewardship of current relationships.Designs and executes a strategy encompassing direct mail, email outreach, face‑to‑face engagement, vision trips, fundraising campaigns, denominational initiatives, and strategic partnerships.Ensures appropriate invitations are made for Convoy of Hope Adventures, Compassion Cup, and Hope Cruise events throughout the year.Annually meets or exceeds established fundraising goals and key performance indicators.Secures “Event Sponsorship” donations from corporations, major donors, and churches to offset event costs and improve overall return on investment.Works directly with pastors, area directors, state directors, volunteer state leaders, and liaisons.Works in partnership with peers in other regions and provides relational assistance with pastors and donors.Provides prayer support, encouragement, and resources for church leaders to further their ministries within the local church and the communities they serve.

Team Collaboration & Leadership

Identifies, recruits, develops, and mentors a team of area and state directors within the assigned region.Knows, manages, and stays within the established regional budget, stewarding Convoy’s resources well, while allocating assigned budget to initiatives that maximize results.Discovers new processes to improve efficiency while working according to established policies and procedures and holds self and team accountable to them.

Convoy of Hope Team Duties

Provides for the Convoy of Hope chapel ministry as requested and conducts worship services across the church network.Provides spiritual counseling to Convoy of Hope team members and volunteers as requested.Performs sacerdotal functions as requested by Convoy of Hope team members, volunteers, or anyone in the office or on the field.Acts as a representative of Convoy of Hope and partner ministries, and provides regular devotionals, prayer, and spiritual counseling for Convoy of Hope staff.Fulfills all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Ordained, commissioned, or a licensed minister credential preferred.Seven plus years’ experience in pastoral ministry, fundraising/sales, or customer service work is required. A bachelor's degree is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.Five or more years’ experience managing a team is required.Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally 30 – 40% of the time.Possesses a proven track record of growing a business, ministry, or other related venture.Demonstrates experience managing relationships and establishing credibility in both church settings and with an extensive network of pastors.Possesses strong organizational skills and can handle several projects at once.Displays problem‑solving skills, remains calm under pressure, and maintains tactful in difficult situations.Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills for interacting with pastors and leaders.Exhibits excellent presentation skills for casting visions and communicating needs.Self-starter with entrepreneurial bent.Has no other employment or conflicts of interest that would distract from the director’s main responsibilities at Convoy of Hope unless by written approval, per Convoy of Hope’s conflict of interest policy.Exhibits strong Mac or PC proficiency and working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly learn Salesforce or other CRM systems as needed.Must be at least 25 years of age to be eligible for this position due to organizational driving and insurance requirements.Organizational Values & Ministry Participation Requirements:As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization’s religious purposes for which it exists and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis.Demonstrates cultural awareness, humility and an ability to learn from international colleagues to strengthen global collaboration.All team members are expected to contribute to the successful coordination and delivery of major organizational events (IWD, etc), working cooperatively across working groups as needed.Attends and actively participates in COH At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
