Job summary

Apollo.io seeks a Senior Director of Engineering, Native Data to lead the data platform that powers core datasets across the Apollo platform. You will own the data strategy, quality, freshness, and enrichment pipelines, and grow multiple teams across geographies to meet ambitious reliability and scale goals.

You will interface with the CTO and cross-functional leaders to drive architecture, data governance, and AI-enabled development that delivers best-in-class data for sales and marketing teams

Qualifications

• A track record of leading engineering teams responsible for large-scale data or distributed systems.
• Strong background in data infrastructure, data quality, and scale.
• Experience building and growing engineering teams while maintaining high technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Own the engineering strategy and execution for Apollo's core data platform and data quality initiatives.
• Lead and grow the Data, Native Data, Waterfall Enrichment, and Scraping & Extension teams across geographies.
• Scale headcount appropriately and develop a world-class engineering organization.
• Develop deep understanding of data coverage, freshness, and accuracy across vectors.
• Build systems to detect stale data and refresh as needed, aligning with GTM outcomes.
• Create feedback loops to improve data via signals from product usage and corrections.
• Own ingestion and distribution systems across Apollo's platform and oversee ETL/Reverse ETL.
• Define architecture for large-scale enrichment, scraping, and data synchronization.
• Own monitoring dashboards and quality benchmarks for data freshness and accuracy.
• Join Executive Staff to shape long-term data strategy for Apollo's assets.
