Job summary

Apollo is seeking a senior engineering leader to set the technical direction across the entire engineering organization. You will own the hardest, most ambiguous bets that shape the product for years and act as a force multiplier across teams.

Your judgment will guide how we build and scale with AI at the core. You will lead architectural bets, drive an AI-native rebuild, and raise the engineering bar through standards, patterns, and mentorship of our most senior engineers.

Qualifications

• Track record of setting technical direction across an entire engineering organization.
• Depth across distributed systems and architecture; reliability, scale, and cost tradeoffs.
• Judgment to make hard calls under ambiguity and ability to align multiple teams.
• Fluency with AI-assisted development and a clear view of AI's impact on engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction of Apollo's most critical and ambiguous problems across teams.
• Make long-term architectural bets shaping product and platform over multiple years.
• Lead rebuilds around AI and agents and translate into actionable direction.
• Raise engineering bar through standards, patterns, and decisions.
• Multiply throughput by mentoring senior engineers and providing design/review input.
• Partner with engineering and product leadership on future tech directions.
