CHFA in Connecticut seeks a Senior Director, Multifamily Financing and Development to lead underwriting, lending, LIHTC, construction, and asset management, guiding a multidisciplinary team to expand and preserve affordable housing statewide.

The role partners with the Managing Director to set strategy, oversee complex transactions, monitor markets and regulatory developments, and build durable relationships with developers, lenders, and public agencies.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial real estate finance or affordable housing
• Strong track record of leading multifamily finance and development activities
• Exceptional judgment balancing mission, financial objectives, risk, regulatory requirements, and market conditions

Responsibilities

• Lead CHFA's multifamily financing and development strategies and objectives
• Oversee underwriting, lending, equity, LIHTC, construction financing, and asset management
• Manage a diverse, multidisciplinary team and drive operational excellence
• Build and sustain relationships with developers, investors, lenders, and government agencies
• Represent CHFA in negotiations, partnerships, and stakeholder engagements
