Job summary

Boston Medical Center seeks a TEAM UP Deputy Research Director to lead a multi-site research initiative within the TEAM UP Center. You will direct daily operations, sustain inter-institutional partnerships, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee grant budgets to deliver study milestones.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a health science, public health, or research-related field.
• 7+ years of related experience, including at least 3 years in progressively responsible project management in clinical research, health services, or grant-funded programs; or equivalent combination.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day operations of complex, multi-site comparative clinical effectiveness research studies, supervising project staff and coordinating across sites.
• Develops and maintains project timelines, SOPs, and work plans with metrics, communicating progress and identifying operational risks.
• Facilitates multi-disciplinary collaboration across internal and external teams for clear accountability.
• Serves as the primary operations liaison between partner organizations and the core research team.
• Monitors IRB compliance and human subjects protection across sites.
• Prepares annual progress reports, scientific updates, and final documentation for granting bodies.
• Oversees data-sharing agreements, protocols, and reporting workflows per guidelines.
• Manages multi-site grant budgets with grants managers; monitors expenditures and subcontracts.
• Assists investigators in disseminating findings through abstracts, manuscripts, and policy briefs.
