Job summary

Human Rights Campaign is seeking a Senior Director of Mid-Level Giving (Federal Club) to lead strategies for mid-level and major donor engagement. The role reports to the Vice President of Leadership Giving and works with Federal Club, Federal Club Council, and Equality Circle to grow gifts and stewardship.

The Senior Director will manage a portfolio, recruit and train volunteers, and ensure alignment with organizational fundraising goals across programs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of fundraising experience with leadership in donor relations.
  • Proven track record of securing individual donor gifts and managing volunteers.
  • Strong organizational and communications skills; travel up to 20%.
  • Experience in fast-paced, matrixed environments and board liaison.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and achieve annual mid-level giving budgets and goals.
  • Lead and coach the Federal Club staff and collaborate with related programs.
  • Partner with planned giving and major gifts teams to align strategies.
  • Represent HRC at events and manage donor stewardship and retention.
  • Build volunteer leadership engagement and annual work plans with boards.
