Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in Boston seeks an MD or MD/PhD to lead late-stage clinical research for metabolism, focusing on MASH and obesity-related disorders, and to plan and direct the full clinical development cycle. You will design trials, monitor ongoing studies, and interpret safety/efficacy data for submissions and publications.

You will collaborate with internal and external teams, develop development strategies, and travel about 20% to manage programs.

Qualifications

• MD or MD/PhD degree required.
• 3+ years clinical medicine; 3–5 years industry drug development or biomedical research.
• Board cert/eligible in Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, or Hepatology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct late-stage clinical research for metabolism and obesity-related disorders.
• Manage full clinical development cycle: strategy, design, initiation, execution, analysis, reporting, publication.
• Plan clinical trials (design, operational plans, settings); monitor and manage trials.
• Analyze findings to support safety/efficacy decisions and regulatory submissions (INDs, CSRs).
• Collaborate with internal/external teams; develop strategies; travel ~20%.
