California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) seeks a Senior Director of Development for the College of Health and Human Services. This role secures major gifts of $25,000+ with emphasis on gifts above $100,000, including principal gifts at $1 million+.

You will lead donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, guiding the college’s philanthropy strategy and building strong partnerships with leadership and faculty.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7 years of demonstrated major gift fundraising experience.
• Experience in higher education preferred.
• Strong knowledge of solicitation processes in an educational environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate, and solicit major gifts of $25,000+ with focus on gifts >$100,000 and principal gifts up to $1M+.
• Foster collaboration across colleges with corporate and foundation donors.
• Lead donor identification, prospecting, cultivation, and stewardship for gifts over $100,000.
• Collaborate with college leadership to identify priorities and craft development strategies.
• Draft proposals and gift agreements as needed for fundraising tasks.
