Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Senior Director for Corporate Transaction Tax & Advisory (CTTA) in the Miami area. The role leads complex tax planning, due diligence, and post-merger integration strategies for buy- and sell-side engagements across industries, leveraging a broad knowledge of tax attributes, planning, and modeling.

Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of complex tax concepts and their client applications.
• Experience leading tax planning strategies and engagement delivery.
• Experienced in mergers & acquisitions tax structuring, due diligence, and cross-border planning.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate advanced understanding of complex tax concepts and apply that knowledge to client situations.
• Lead the development and delivery of tax planning approaches, ensuring high-quality, timely client service.
• Oversee tax due diligence, including review of tax returns and financials to evaluate risks and opportunities.
• Strategize and execute post-merger integration tax strategies.
• Develop and deliver complex tax models and stock basis calculations.
• Advise on tax aspects of purchase agreements and related transactions.
• Coordinate with state, local, international tax teams, and due diligence colleagues.
• Build and maintain senior-level client relationships and support business development.

CPA/JD/Tax LL.M.
