Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Manager for Corporate Transaction Tax & Advisory (CTTA). The role leads tax planning engagements, performs due diligence, builds tax models, and coordinates with cross-functional teams on pre- and post-merger activities.

You will develop client-ready analyses, leverage tax insight across U.S. and international matters, and contribute to business development while managing engagement teams.

Qualifications

• CPA or JD with accounting background is expected.
• Advanced degree in taxation (MTax or LL.M.) preferred.
• Strong writing and analytical capabilities with Excel proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate solid understanding of complex tax concepts and apply them to client patterns.
• Lead day-to-day workstreams on tax planning engagements; deliver analyses and work product.
• Perform and review tax due diligence; assess risks and draft client-ready summaries.
• Support post-merger integration planning and track action items.
• Build and review tax models and document key assumptions.
• Assist in reviewing tax provisions of purchase agreements; prepare issues lists.
• Coordinate with state, local, and international tax teams and due diligence peers.
• Maintain regular client communication and support senior leadership.
