Job summary

Unical Aviation, a Satair company, seeks a Head of Legal & Compliance for its USM business to lead legal and compliance across sales, procurement, and repair services. This role reports to senior leadership and coordinates with Airbus group functions.

The position requires a JD, 15+ years in corporate law, and US bar admission. Travel ~20% with responsibilities spanning governance, risk, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• 15+ years in a corporate legal dept or law firm.
• Admission to a US state bar and in good standing.
• Experience managing a legal and compliance team.
• Experience in aircraft, engine, and spare part sales/leases is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the legal and compliance function for USM business.
• Provide strategic advice to CEO and senior leadership.
• Oversee contracts, CLM implementation, and template use.
• Coordinate with Airbus group legal/compliance function.
• Manage 8–10 staff and external counsel oversight.
• Oversee export control, ethics, and trade compliance.
