Job summary

Crane Worldwide Logistics is seeking a senior Inventory Control leader to drive SOC 1 governance, design enterprise-wide control frameworks, and standardize counting and reconciliation across multiple sites. You will lead WMS optimization with Manhattan, Blue Yonder, and SAP, mentor regional teams, and partner with auditors to ensure compliant operations.

The role emphasizes strategic leadership, client-facing accountability, and budgetary management within a dynamic 3PL environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in supply chain, with 5+ years in multi-site 3PL leadership.
• Audit experience managing inventory systems under external SOC 1 / SOX audits.
• Advanced proficiency with tier-1 WMS platforms and audit configurations.

Responsibilities

• Own design and execution of inventory control frameworks that satisfy SOC 1 requirements.
• Design and execute the enterprise-wide 3PL inventory control strategy.
• Standardize cycle counting, physical inventory, and reconciliation across sites.
• Establish and monitor KPIs including IRA and shrink.
• Optimize WMS modules to automate control workflows (Manhattan, Blue Yonder, SAP).
• Lead root-cause analyses for inventory discrepancies and variances.
• Serve as senior leader contact for client auditors reviewing SOC 1 reports.
• Provide assurance to clients regarding effectiveness of internal controls.
• Collaborate with BD to define inventory SLAs and control frameworks for new clients.
• Present control metrics during client QBRs.
• Direct and mentor a regional team of Inventory Control Managers and Analysts.
• Manage the annual departmental budget for inventory control.
• Train node-level inventory teams on SOC 1 compliance behaviors and documentation standards.
