Job summary

CHIRLA seeks a Deputy Director of Individual Giving in Los Angeles to lead donor strategy and fundraising initiatives across major gifts, legacy gifts, annual campaigns, and donor-advised funds. You will supervise staff and coordinate events, working closely with leadership and the Board to expand giving and sustain programs serving immigrant communities.

Ideal candidates have at least five years in fundraising, strong grant and donor analytics, and bilingual English/Spanish communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and minimum five years of donor-centered fundraising experience.
• Proven ability to solicit and close five-figure gifts and manage staff.
• Experience planning and executing large events (400+ guests) and multi-channel campaigns.
• Strong communication, organization, and deadline-driven work ethic.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement short and long-term funding strategies to meet organizational goals.
• Lead donor relations and fundraising plans across phone, events, mail, and online channels.
• Grow relationships with existing donors and cultivate new gifts at all levels.
• Move prospects through the gift cycle including major and legacy gifts.
• Oversee donor and grants databases, and supervise staff and volunteers.
• Coordinate donor-centered events and reporting with leadership and the Board.
