Job summary

Vizient is seeking a Senior Director to lead data management, analytics, and automation for Indirect Spend. You will own data strategy, governance, and scalable analytics capabilities to deliver actionable insights for healthcare members and consulting teams.

You will guide data architecture, develop standardized reports, and apply AI to improve workflows while partnering with technology and product teams to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, computer science, information systems, business, statistics, engineering, healthcare administration, or related field.
• Experience leading data and analytics capabilities across multiple teams or offerings.
• Expertise in databases, data structures, data modeling, integration, governance, and data quality.
• Experience designing automated analytics, reporting, dashboards, or decision-support tools.
• Experience applying AI/ML or intelligent automation to business processes.
• Experience managing and scaling data/analytics teams.
• Strong SQL, BI platforms, data visualization, and analytical workflow design; Power BI preferred.
• Healthcare, healthcare technology, supply chain, procurement, finance, benchmarking, or consulting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and executes the data and analytics strategy for the Indirect Spend business.
• Owns the data lifecycle: acquisition, integration, structure, storage, transformation, normalization, validation, analysis, delivery.
• Provides strategic oversight of databases, data models, data structures, source-system relationships, definitions, and analytical datasets.
• Establishes and enforces standards for data governance, quality, ownership, documentation, lineage, completeness, and issue resolution.
• Oversees spend categorization, supplier normalization, benchmarking methodologies, data hierarchies, and related processes.
• Develops and standardizes analytical methodologies, recurring reports, dashboards, performance measures, and decision-support tools.
• Determines which processes should be automated or enhanced with AI or kept human-led.
• Evaluates and applies AI, ML, generative AI, and intelligent automation to improve data management, reporting, and workflows.
• Establishes a scalable operating model for managing requests, reporting, production support, enhancements, and initiatives.
• Partners with consulting leaders to ensure outputs are accurate, relevant, actionable, and easy to apply in client engagements.
• Develops reusable data assets, analytical frameworks, methodologies, tools, and intellectual capital.
• Collaborates with technology and product teams to communicate needs and support analytics capabilities.
• Supports business development, proposals, member presentations, and marketing by demonstrating value of Vizient’s data analytics.
