Job summary

CSL Plasma is expanding its external innovation capability and seeks a Senior Director of Search & Evaluation to lead late-stage external asset sourcing and evaluation in Immunology, from Phase 2 through marketed products, requiring deep clinical expertise and strong KOL engagement.

The role is hybrid onsite (3 days/week) at a regional R&D hub, including Waltham, MA, USA. You will drive cross-functional due diligence, deal strategy, and external partnerships to shape the portfolio.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in biopharma with significant experience in clinical development, external innovation, or business development.
• Advanced degree required (MD, PhD, or equivalent).
• Deep clinical expertise in Immunology and a track record of sourcing and closing late-stage deals with KOLs.

Responsibilities

• Lead as senior S&E leader within the Therapy Area Leadership Team, shaping strategy and integrating late-stage priorities into portfolio planning.
• Drive proactive sourcing for Phase 2 to marketed assets aligned with TA strategy and unmet needs.
• Co-lead internal reviews to evaluate New Product Opportunities in Immunology and advance assets for due diligence and deal negotiations.
• Engage extensively with external KOLs and investigators to validate asset potential and understand trial designs and endpoints.
• Coordinate cross-functional due diligence across clinical, regulatory, commercial, and market access to support governance decisions.
• Partner with BD and Regional Ecosystem Leads to advance high-priority opportunities through negotiation and deal close.
