Job summary

NRDC (Natural Resources Defense Council) seeks a Senior Director, HR Technology to lead the strategy, governance, and day-to-day management of the People team’s technology ecosystem. You will own the HRIS (Dayforce) and ensure secure, reliable, compliant systems that support data-driven decision making.

The role partners with HR leadership, IT, Finance, and Legal to optimize workflows, improve user experience, and enable scalable growth across US offices and global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent value.
• 10+ years of HR technology experience.
• 5+ years of people management experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead HR systems strategy, governance, and adoption across the employee lifecycle.
• Oversee HR operational workflows: onboarding, benefits, payroll, offboarding to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Lead full lifecycle HR system implementations, enhancements, and decommissionings.
• Partner with HR, IT, Finance, and Legal to manage timelines, contracts, risks, and changes.
• Maintain HR data governance, audits, and reporting to support leadership and board insights.
