Job summary

Aspect Biosystems is seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Manufacturing to join our Technical Operations team. You will oversee facilities, lab operations, safety, and GMP-compliant aseptic manufacturing to support bioprinted tissue therapies and our development programs.

Reporting to the Chief Technical Operations Officer, you will scale operations, optimize infrastructure, manage costs, and build a high‑performing team focused on safety, quality, and compliance across labs and production

Qualifications

Master's degree in Engineering, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related discipline and 10+ years in biotech/pharma ops.
5+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing GMP manufacturing and aseptic processing.
Deep expertise in aseptic manufacturing, cleanrooms, environmental monitoring, and qualification.
Strategic leadership with hands-on approach and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute manufacturing operations strategy aligned with program timelines.
Oversee aseptic manufacturing, cleanroom controls, environmental monitoring, and flow.
Lead facilities and ops enabling discovery through clinical readiness.
Build and mentor a high-performing GMP-focused ops team.
Manage lab operations, maintenance, calibration, and inventory systems.
Lead PM programs, documentation systems, materials management, and training.
Oversee site operations and long-term facilities planning for safe, compliant spaces.
Manage IQ/OQ/PQ, equipment maintenance, data integrity, and asset lifecycle.
