Job summary

Fluor Corporation in Piketon, Ohio, is seeking an experienced Project Controls Lead to oversee cost management, scheduling, and planning for large offices or projects. You will collaborate with Operations to prepare proposals, pricing, and project execution within Project Controls, and may travel internationally to support assignments.

A senior candidate with a four-year degree and extensive related experience is required; an MBA and global experience are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and twenty (20) years or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twenty-four (24) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Responsibilities

• Lead all activities with respect to business management, cost management, and planning for an office or major project including functional objectives and initiatives
• Support and interface with Operations management in the preparation of proposals, commercial pricing, and execution of projects in areas specific to Project Controls
• Conduct or provide "Project Controls health checks" to the projects if requested
• Lead Project Controls Team meetings and identify and assign staff to Project Controls positions consistent with the individual's abilities and career development
• Ensure the quality, timeliness, and consistency of Project Controls work produced by the department or project
• Coordinate the provision of historical data and ensure it is meaningful and normalized for reuse by the Estimating Department
