Job summary

AstraZeneca seeks a Senior Director Global OSD to lead global technical operations for the Oral Solid Dosage portfolio. Based in Newark/Mt. Vernon, you will drive strategy, develop leaders, and promote Lean, data-driven improvements across sites and partners.

You will manage budgets, coach senior staff, and shape innovations in material science and pharmaceutics to sustain manufacturing excellence and product availability.

Qualifications

• Broad drug development and commercialization knowledge across lifecycle stages.
• OSD-specific experience in development, manufacturing and scale-up.
• OSD manufacturing technology expertise with strong process insight.
• Solid understanding of SHE, cGMP and Lean principles.
• Experience leading in Operations and/or R&D within a matrix, with lean leadership.
• Strong communication and stakeholder relationship building.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a global technical organisation for OSD commercial portfolio.
• Coach reports, build capability, and promote continuous improvement.
• Shape regional strategy and translate it into actionable plans.
• Ensure robust product/process performance and risk management.
• Leverage data, AI and analytics to drive improvements and innovation.
• Oversee budgeting, headcount and revenue for the team.
