The Director, Global Operations Finance & Performance is a key business partner to the Global Operations and Supply Chain leadership team and manufacturing operations across the companys global footprint.

This role goes beyond traditional Operations Controllership or FP&A. The Director is responsible for translating financial and operational data into actions that improve EBITDA, cost performance, productivity and working capital efficiency.

Working directly with Operations leadership, Plant GMs and cross-functional teams, the Director will identify performance gaps and root causes, jointly develop and drive improvement actions with Operations, and remain actively engaged through execution to ensure measurable financial results are realized.

This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), with a strong dotted-line relationship to the SVP, Operations, and will operate as an embedded member of the Global Operations leadership team.

The Senior Director will work closely with both Finance and Operations leadership to establish priorities and drive execution, maintaining Finances standards for financial integrity, governance and controls while sharing accountability with Operations for financial transparency, operational accountability and measurable improvement in cost, productivity, EBITDA and working capital.

The role provides functional leadership to plant finance teams across the companys global manufacturing locations, ensuring consistent financial discipline, performance management and decision support across the Operations organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Performance Management:

Own the global Operations Finance performance cadence across manufacturing sites, including standardized KPI definitions, weekly and monthly performance reviews, root-cause analysis, corrective-action tracking and verification of financial results. Provide forward-looking visibility into performance, risks and opportunities and ensure consistent follow-through across the Operations organization.

Manufacturing Cost, Productivity & EBITDA Improvement:

• Headcount entitlement and labor productivity
• Earned hours versus paid hours
• Factory utilization and overhead absorption
• Purchase price variance (PPV)
• Material usage and manufacturing variances
• Scrap and rework
• Overtime and premium freight
• Other significant manufacturing cost drivers

Identify root causes of unfavorable performance, distinguish structural from temporary issues, establish measurable improvement targets with Operations, and track the resulting financial impact through execution.

Working Capital & Cash Performance:

Drive visibility and improvement in Operations-related working capital and cash performance, including raw material, WIP and finished goods inventory, inventory turns, excess and obsolete material, and material and supplier commitments.

Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial and FP&A to connect demand forecasts, supply plans, procurement commitments, inventory requirements and expected revenue.

Assess the financial and cash implications of supply and material decisions, including commitments made against demand scenarios above the operating revenue plan, and provide scenario analysis to balance supply assurance and revenue opportunity against inventory and cash exposure.

Profitability & Decision Support:

Ensure significant operational decisions are supported by clear analysis of P&L, working capital, cash flow, ROI and sensitivity implications.

Transformation & Benefits Realization:

Partner with Operations to evaluate productivity, cost reduction, sourcing, automation, footprint and supply-chain improvement initiatives.

Establish credible financial baselines, validate expected benefits and develop appropriate financial metrics before initiatives are approved.

Track initiatives through implementation and verify that expected cost savings, productivity gains, working capital improvements and other financial benefits are realized in actual performance.

Operations Planning, Forecasting & Capital Allocation:

Lead the financial component of the annual operating plan and periodic forecasts for Global Operations, ensuring key operational assumptions are appropriately reflected in the companys financial outlook.

Lead, in partnership with Operations and Finance, the manufacturing and facilities capital planning and approval process, ensuring proposed investments are supported by robust financial analysis and providing a consistent financial framework to prioritize competing initiatives.

Lead medium- and long-term business modeling to evaluate alternative manufacturing and capacity solutions to support growth, including organic investments, partnerships and potential M&A. Assess implications for manufacturing footprint, cost structure, capital requirements and financial returns.

Manufacturing Finance & Controls:

Provide functional leadership to plant finance teams and establish consistent financial reporting, costing methodologies, performance measurement and financial discipline across global manufacturing locations.

Oversee manufacturing finance activities including standard cost setting, inventory valuation, overhead absorption and manufacturing variance analysis, while maintaining strong financial controls over inventory, fixed assets, manufacturing costs and operational spending.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.
• 12+ years of progressive Finance experience, with significant experience supporting manufacturing, Operations or Supply Chain organizations.
• Demonstrated success partnering directly with senior manufacturing and Operations leaders to deliver measurable improvements in EBITDA, cost, productivity and working capital.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing economics, including labor productivity, standard costing, inventory, capacity utilization, overhead absorption and operational cost drivers.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including the ability to develop medium- and long-term business models, evaluate alternative operating and investment scenarios, and translate complex operational data into clear actions and business decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to identify root causes, challenge assumptions constructively and drive cross-functional corrective actions through execution.
• Experience working in a global, multi-site manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Characteristics:

• CPA, CMA and/or MBA preferred.
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations in Asia (China) and/or Mexico.
• Experience with complex global supply chains, constrained-material environments, or high-growth manufacturing businesses.
• Strong understanding of S&OP, demand and supply planning, inventory management, and working capital optimization.
• Experience evaluating manufacturing footprint, sourcing, capacity, and make-or-buy decisions.
• Demonstrated experience validating and tracking financial benefits from operational transformation, productivity or cost-reduction initiatives.

• Strong ERP and data analytics capabilities; SAP experience preferred.
