Job summary

Unity Technologies is hiring a senior leader to direct the IP and Litigation function. You will partner with the Chief Legal Officer and internal IP team to craft and execute Unity's IP strategy across patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and copyrights, while handling non-employment litigation globally.

You will oversee enforcement, open source compliance, M&A IP aspects, and collaborate with product attorneys.

Qualifications

• Extensive IP management experience in a global setting.
• Proven track record handling complex intellectual property disputes.
• Experience with open source, M&A IP issues, and licensing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive Unity's IP strategy including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets.
• Lead enforcement and defense across IP assets and disputes with outside counsel.
• Oversee global IP portfolio development and alignment with business goals.
• Manage non-employment litigation, case strategy, discovery, and settlements.
• Coordinate with CLO and legal leads on disclosure, insurance, and Board communications.
• Lead training and develop the legal team in IP and litigation readiness.
